My most recent certification is as a Teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). I am certified to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to adults.

The topic I have taught most is film analysis and history.

My PhD is in theatre and drama.

My performance training is particularly in dance.

Most of my research centers on music history and analysis.

I teach in the humanities.

I teach introductory courses in anthropology.

I teach about the arts in education.

I teach in the fields of media and communications.

I have a strong investment in archives and librarianship.

I like to cover the topics of spirituality and spiritualism.

From Purchase College, I won the State University of New York Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching (2019) and, from its School of Liberal Studies, the Outstanding Faculty Member Award (2013).
